Where that number comes from
Ten bills, one household, 364 measured days of each fuel, and the figure above is what the subtraction comes to. The two “what we paid” figures are measured; the two “best plan” figures are that plan's published rates applied to this household's own measured usage, which is a projection. Your own result will say which of those it is built from, because a comparison priced on published rates is not the same thing as a year already billed: what sits behind your figure.

Start with your postcode. We will ask a few things about the place and price the market on your answers. The bill is still the only way to your real number.
A postcode says where you are. It does not say when you use power, or what is on your roof, so plans priced on the time of day, on demand, or on hardware at the property are shown but never ranked. Where your bill prints its own peak and off peak kWh, or its demand in kW, we price those plans on your own figures and rank them with the rest.
