Built by someone who was overpaying too.

My own electricity bill, read by the engine I had just built. Every comparison site I had used told me I was fine.

I built Fix Your Bill because I was the customer. I uploaded my own electricity bill and my own gas bill, and the numbers came back worse than I expected. Not by a rounding error. By nine hundred dollars a year.

The comparison sites weren't lying, exactly. They were guessing. A postcode and an average household, never my bill, never my actual usage, never my season. Guessing is cheap to build and it is why most people are told they are fine.

So the thing I wanted was the thing I built: something that reads the bill, does the maths, and tells you your real number. Free, no sign-up, and ordered so the cheapest plan for your household comes first, whether or not we earn a cent on it.

What we promise.

Your bill is read once, and never stored.

We keep the numbers we read only if you ask us to save them. The document itself is gone either way.

Every plan we can price, not a commercial panel.

Published plans from the government register, including the retailers who pay us nothing.

The cheapest plan for you comes first.

Some retailers pay us a fee when you switch. It is not an input to the ranking; the code that orders your results never sees it.

No sign-up, no sales calls, no data sold.

You never have to tell us who you are to get your number.

Estimates, not quotes, with the working shown.

Every figure can be checked line by line against the bill in your hand.

The full arrangement is published: how we make money.
