For energy, we query the Australian Government's Consumer Data Right (CDR) database — the same data retailers are legally required to publish. For broadband, we compare published NBN plan pricing from major RSPs.

Where does the data come from?
Energy plan data comes from the Consumer Data Right (CDR) — a government initiative that requires energy retailers to publish their plan details in a standardised format via the Energy Made Easy API.
Broadband plans are sourced from published provider websites and verified monthly. We compare NBN 50 and NBN 100 tier plans from major Australian RSPs.
