Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing and using fixyourbill.com.au (“the Service”), operated by ECO Systems Holdings Pty Ltd (ABN 24 697 054 327), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Service description

Fix Your Bill is a free comparison service for Australian electricity and gas customers, households and small businesses. Broadband is not live yet.

There are two ways to use it. Upload a bill and we read your usage, your rates, your supply charge and your solar credits off the document itself, then price the plans available at your address against those figures. Or enter a postcode, and we compare against an estimated household instead. The second is an estimate of a household rather than a measurement of yours, and it is labelled that way wherever it appears.

Plan data comes from retailers' published plan data, the Product Reference Data they lodge under the Australian Government's Consumer Data Right, which we refresh daily. That register covers the national electricity market. Western Australia and the Northern Territory sit outside it, and a retailer below the small-customer threshold has no obligation to publish to it. It carries plans published for general take-up, so retention offers, door-to-door deals and embedded-network pricing do not appear in it.

We use that public data only. We are not an accredited data recipient under the Consumer Data Right, we do not ask for your CDR consent, and we do not collect your usage data from your retailer.

3. Accuracy of information

What we show you is an estimate of what a plan would cost you over a year. It is not a quote and it is not an offer. Where you have uploaded a bill, that estimate is calculated from the figures we read off your own bill rather than from an assumed household. Where you have entered a postcode, it is calculated from an estimated household, so it will not be your number.

A year priced from one bill is still a projection. Every result states what its baseline is built from, from a postcode alone through to a full year of your own bills, and that statement is part of the result rather than a footnote to it. We do not publish a numeric accuracy band on any path, because we have not measured one we would stand behind.

We price from what the register held at the time of your comparison. After that a retailer can change a plan, withdraw it, or decline to supply your address. Whether you are eligible for a particular plan or discount is the retailer's decision and not ours, and we show the conditions attached to a plan so you can see what you would be agreeing to.

Always confirm the final price, terms and conditions directly with the retailer before switching. Their contract is the one you are signing.

4. Not financial advice

The information provided by Fix Your Bill is general in nature and does not constitute financial, energy, or telecommunications advice. We recommend considering your individual circumstances before switching providers.

5. Fee disclosure

Where we have a direct arrangement with a retailer, we may receive a fee when you switch to them through our links. Where we have no such arrangement, we receive nothing. Neither affects the plans we display or the order in which they appear. See our How this is free page for details.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ECO Systems Holdings Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes but is not limited to any losses resulting from decisions made based on comparison results.

7. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
