Photo or PDF: which should you use?

Both work. Here is the honest difference.

The PDF

The PDF is the electronic copy of your bill, and it reads perfectly almost every time. If your bill arrives by email or you use your energy company's app or website, the PDF is a minute away, and it is the best option.

Stop guessing. Read the bill.

A photo or a PDF is enough. We read your usage, tariff, rates and supply charge, then price every plan you can actually get. Estimates, not quotes, with the working shown.

The photo

A photo of the paper bill works well too, and for many people it is the natural choice, especially if your bill arrives in the mail. The only difference: if a photo is blurry or a corner is cut off, we may ask you to double check a number or two. You will always see exactly what we read before anything else happens.

The short version

  • Bill arrives by email or you use the app: use the PDF.
  • Bill arrives in the mail: take photos, standing the bill upright for a clear shot.
  • Not sure: photos. We will guide you from there.

Either way, your bill is read once and never stored.
